I’ve made some new friends in SF, and if you’ve been following some of the videos on upcoming icons out of SF like Black Scale and Benny Gold, you’ve probably seen some of their work. The homies Austin & Brian of The Werehaus showed Stablished some love, and showcased the reel on their blog. Yee! On the real though, you gotta check out their work. It’s been a minute since I’ve actually said somethin’ here.   And I actually don’t have anything in particular to chop it up about… All I know is that a plan is in motion.  Since the Nike project has wrapped, I’ve been marinatin’ a little bit, enjoyin’ my time and regrouping for the next.  I won’t be able to show the project until it’s been installed.. so look out for it towards the end of the month.

Speaking of months, I can’t believe it’s about to be June.  Summer is on it’s way, and nature calls.

As for some exciting news, I recently picked up a Canon 5D mark II.  Yup…. ,I said it…., and I can’t wait to start diving into the world of photography.  I’ve had the chance to test out some cameras, and I believe i was spoiled by Mark Sebastian’s 5D… The quality is insane, and the ability to shoot HD footage with some fresh lenses can make it unstoppable.  But really, it’s just a camera. it’s just a look.  And it’s about what you do with it that’s gonna count.

Also up this week is the artwork for Robot Remains, The Bangerz and I have solidified some new directions for the single, and hopefully it should be out soon!

And I also entered the ADC Young Guns Competition…the results won’t be in until summer.

So many things going on.. Still got the reel to bang out… still got the b-boy project to polish..still goin to b-boy practice, still doin it, and of course, Always Classic is on the horizon.

Above is an image of some tests in 3D, with cloth.  Thought it was proper to drape the AC, and give it an unveiling kind of a feel, since we will be dropping sumthin-sumthin shortly.  You can click on the pic for a larger image now.

THE PROCESS ::

So Back in 06′, I was freelancing for a game company, and postin’ at my boy’s Tone & JP’s in the Filmore area.  While I was making this, I made sure to take screen captures of the process.  These are stills from the Fallen Soldiers Project.  Check that out if you haven’t, it’s a tribute to Hip-Hop Greats..  I gotta rummage through the old external drives to find the hi-res  screen captures, so ya’ll can see the process & detail.

It’s that time of the year, and I wanted to re-release the Dilla digital painting in the form of a t-shirt, for the heads that really want one.  After all the projects that have come out of here, this has still got to be my most favorite and prized.. Details are being refined still, but i wanted to put this call out, to give folks a heads up.  There will be a PayPal page up soon, so if  you’re interested, holla at me with your name, and size.. and I will get back to you with more info.

Not surprising since we call them that anyway.  This group of talented young men are carrying the torch for the Bay Area, and are truly on the rise, have been on the rise, and will attack your senses this summer with an upcoming album entitled….. Welcome to an updated Stab Labs.
