Moving without moving.  Byroglyphics is UK artist Russ Mills.  You can’t beat illustrations of cute female faces and violent paint splatters.  Cop a print and hang them next to your Justin Bua posters.

renascent

Renascent is an OG when it comes to this industry.  He’s been killing it for a long time, and it’s great to see that his site is revamped.  Now we just have to await his latest Reel.  If you check out his site, he hasn’t put out a reel since ’05, and yet the guy has been a beast in the industry, working for damn near everyone.  His latest work is for the ending credits of Killzone 2.  Kinda like the ending credits for Iron man, but with the Renascent twist.

obama

So I came across the “Obama Decption” the other day.  It’s an upcoming documentary by Alex Jones, on the “truth” behind our new Presidente.  I’m not posting this because I endorse what he thinks, but more so being open to see both sides. The image on the left is by Jame White aka Signal Noise, who wrote a great journal on the case of Shepard Fairey.  And of course, the Amero.

blog_welcome_image

Welcome to an updated Stab Labs. We’re excited to revamp the look and feel, and want to give a huge shout out to the man, Z of TwitFlip for hooking us up in a Major way.  I’m also juiced about all the energy built up for ’09.  I hope everyone is in heavy grind mode, cuz the next 3 quarters are coming up quick, and we gotta keep pushing to the top.  In the coming months, we plan to strengthen our network, and work on select projects that promote new thinking.  From music videos, logos, shirts, sites, experiments, and more, we hope to keep inspiring and also to stay inspired.  Shouts to everyone on their hustle.  Holler at us if you mean business.  (And of course, be on the lookout as we populate the site and work out the kinks…) In Production: “Wonder” Music Video, VESL Studios launch. Coming Soon: Stablished 2009 Demo Reel.

Turn It Loose :: Upcoming B-boy Movie

turnit

Director Alastair Siddons from the UK directs “Turn it Loose,” a film about the b-boys perspective.  Surprisingly a native from the Bay Area is featured in the cast, B-Boy Roxrite.  But that shouldn’t be so surprising, because Roxrite has not only held down The Bay with his crew Renegades, but is one of the most polished b-boys in the region. Check out the tailer here.
